Woman's Brassiere, 1972  (Ref:L.C712.1980.1400.0)
A white Pippa-Dee brief bra. This bra was sold under the party plan - a scheme that encouraged women to hold Pippa Dee Parties in their own homes. Here a demonstrator would show items of lingerie and light foundationwear. Orders would then be taken and dispatched from the Pippa Dee warehouse. Popular styles, such as this particular bra, were often produced in very large quantities.
The bra has a plunge front and is made from nylon lace, contoured with a soft polyester wadding.
